Gail Gorski was the first woman pilot to be hired by United Airlines (not to be confused with Gail Butterfield Glaze, another United Airlines pilot).
In 1973, Gail Gorski was crowned the Kentucky Derby Queen.
She was hired as a pilot by United Air Lines on January 9, 1978.
